Despite going through a slowdown in the pace of economic growth in 2024, Chile's startup ecosystem will still stand out in Latin America by 2025. According to Cuantico VC, with Santiago at its core, Chile has a well-established environment for entrepreneurship like few other countries in the region, offering access to markets and capital.

Chile has 10 promising startups that, by 2025, could be well positioned among Latin America's top performers, as the South American country has managed its startups and 2025 could be their year.

Two key advantages differentiate Chile from other countries in the region. The first is that they have created a favorable regulatory environment that supports entrepreneurial growth. And the other is that it provides strong government support, with initiatives such asCorfo and ecosystem builders such as Impacta VC, which drive investment in critical sectors.

By 2025 Chile is positioned with 10 startups actively working in healthcare and finance

Starting off with The Wild Foods, this startup revolutionized the FoodTech industry with attitude and creativity. They are real products, healthy, rich and transparent, such as protein bars free of sugar and dyes, as well as their shakes. Series A (US$25M).

There is also PhageLab, which innovates in animal welfare and collaborates with livestock and poultry farmers to develop solutions based on bacteriophages (phages), the natural enemies of bacteria, increasing long-term farm performance. Series A (US$11M).

Toku, instead, seeks payment solutions for subscription companies in LATAM. Series A (US$9.3M).

On the other hand, Botanical Solution is more inclined to produce plant-based active ingredients using advanced botanical methods. Series A (US$7.6M).

And finally Fintoc, which allows instant payments directly from customers' bank accounts. Series A (US$7M).

Technology is also Chile's startups’ forte to follow in 2025

Cuantico VC also refers to AgroUrbana, a pioneer in vertical agriculture in Chile. With the use of technology they grow superior quality, fresh and healthy food indoors and in the city all year round. Series B (US$6M).

Meanwhile Reuse, opts to revolutionize refurbished electronics with an online marketplace. Seed round (US$4.5M).

SPOT seeks to turn video into actionable data with video analytics. Seed round (US$2M).

Keirón focuses on patient care for health problems, using an omnichannel healthtech platform to digitize the patient's journey from diagnosis to rehabilitation. Seed round (US$1.7M).

Retorna created an application that simplifies money transfers and payments, as well as remittance-like money transfers, with fair and reliable fees. Seed round (US$1.2M).

Chile continues to consolidate its reputation as a center of innovation and growth, and with these new startups it can lead the way to a promising 2025, Cuantico VC points out.
