Impacta VC to Support 13 Startups in Their Expansion to USA
Impacta VC selected 13 Latin American startups to participate in the Impacta Miami Softlanding Program, helping them expand into the U.S. market.
Impacta VC, a venture capital firm focused on social and environmental impact, has selected 13 Latin American startups to participate in its internationalization program, the Impacta Miami Softlanding Program 2024 (IMSP24). This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), aims to help these emerging companies expand into the U.S. market by providing access to new investment opportunities, accelerated growth, and strategic connections.
The immersion program includes two weeks in Miami, a key hub for investment and startups in Latin America. The selected startups represent various sectors, from EdTech to PropTech, and seek to capture the attention of North American investors as they continue scaling.
The Internationalization Program: Impacta Miami Softlanding Program
The Impacta Miami Softlanding Program (IMSP) is designed to support Latin American startups in their expansion into the U.S. market, specifically through Miami. This program offers the selected companies a two-week immersion in Miami’s investment ecosystem, a city that has gained popularity as a new tech hub with characteristics similar to Silicon Valley. Additionally, startups will have access to Impacta VC’s services for one year, including support with capital, connections with investors and experts, and advice in key areas such as Go-to-market strategies and fundraising.
The program is designed to minimize the risks associated with entering new markets, helping entrepreneurs save time and resources while maximizing growth and development opportunities. Moreover, the program has been supported by CORFO, allowing some Chilean startups to access special grants covering between 25% and 100% of the program’s cost.
